Happy Hanukkah! Thank you all for coming to our classroom Hanukkah party! It is so nice to get together as a group and celebrate. Thank you for bringing in your item to add to our celebration. The kids worked extremely hard to practice the blessings, so they could not only sing them and impress you all at the party, but so that they could help lead them at home as well. We hope your year is filled with light from the new hannukiot you brought home that the children made. They were so proud of their hard work.
We had library this week. We are lucky to have a library on campus that we can go not only sit and read books in but check out new ones out to borrow. We were also privileged to have Oree’s aunt come read us a book she wrote. She is an author who wrote books such as, Noshy Boy, Shlepy girl and more in that series. It was so cool that we got to hear her read a new book about Hanukkah that she wrote! We enjoyed PE this week practicing our foot eye coordination again while kicking a ball and trying to knock off a ball from a cone. They are getting ready good at this skill and we are continuing to practice it during PE and outside of PE. PE was extra special this week because we made Coach Danny our Room 7 birthday poster and celebrated and sang to him! He felt the love we have for him and we made his day. We worked on our Hannukah journal page this week. The kids sat in front of a Hanukkiah, dreidels and gelt and were able to look at the items and draw their own. Now that the weather is changing, please bring a change of clothes that are long sleeve and pants. Please check their box to make sure they have enough clothes to change into for the current weather. Shabbat Shalom, Rachel and Linda Reminders: The week of December 10th we are focusing on the letter “E”. Share day will be on Friday.
