This past Thursday was Praying with Parents for our fifth graders. The parents experienced the morning service our students are exposed to each week. The shared experience was a special way to enjoy and participate in prayer. Below are some photos of the Rabbi blessing the families. The fifth graders are also in the midst of their Jewish Lens project. It explores their relationship with prayer through photography. The students learned about different types of photography and the concept of cropping as part of the project. In Mrs. Fridman's Hebrew class, the students are about to start the new book of "chaverim be'Ivrit" next week and are now working diligently on their culminating project on friends. They learned the song "Friends in Different
Colors" and wrote their own verse to the song. Stay tuned for their music videos next week! This week as a school we went to Camp Alonim for a day of wonderful activities in honor of Tu B'shvat. Our fifth graders experienced a variety of team building exercises requiring teamwork and strategy! They also learned how build a shelter in the outdoors and other survival skills. We had a great time being together and in the outdoors!
