Wishing everyone a Happy Hanukkah and best wishes in the new year. This week was also Superhero Day in which our fifth graders decorated a cape to "save" Mrs. Weiser! We also celebrated Hanukkah in our class parties, in which the students played dreidel and learned more about the origins of the holiday! This week the fifth grade had their first field trip of the school year! Aligned with our Social Studies focus this year on American history and the foundations of the United States government, the students went to the Reagan Library where they were able to see a replica of the White House Oval Office, walk aboard and explore Air Force One, and learn about the life of Ronald Reagan through various artifacts and videos. It was a wonderful interactive experience for our students! See some of our photos below! This week in Hebrew, Mrs. Fridman's class is reviewing the Hanukah blessings and Hanukkah songs.
