Week of January 26, 2015 This week some of the students had their presentation in Music class on the musical suite, "Carnival of the Animals," by the French composer, Camille Saint-Saens. They did an outstanding job of presenting the information to the rest of the class. Below are some pictures and videos of the presentations. Judaic Studies In Judaic Studies, the students the story of creation. They made wonderful illustrations as well as wrote beautiful stories about being part of the first Shabbat after the world was created. Klei Kodesh Our Klei Kodesh this week did a wonderful job of leading us in the V'Ahavta and telling us how they show their love to G-d. Way to go Nour, Oliver, and Sophie! Important Upcoming Dates

Week of January 20, 2015 This week the students celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. by thinking about their own dreams for the world. They continue to learn deeply and experience wholeness. In math, the students continue to review and learn multiplication and division. They are even being challenged by doing the Sixty Second Sweep! Hebrew The students in Mrs. Fridman's class started a new story called "Friends." They learned the new vocabulary by playing games and pretending that they are in a sports game. In this video the students display their Hebrew speaking skills by acting out a story about going to the store. Klei Kodesh Both last week's and this week's Klei Kodesh did an outstanding job of leading us in the V'Ahavta during services. Wednesday, February 4 - Tu B'Shvat Field Trip (Don't forget to turn in your permission slips) Week of January 5, 2015 Welcome back! We hope everyone had a wonderful winter break and a happy new year. This week was filled with plenty of learning. All math classes continue to work on their multiplication facts. The students also continued to work on identifying the main idea in a story as well as displaying scholarly behavior. Hebrew In Mrs. Fridman's class the students had fun acting out the story, "The Book Store". Klei Kodesh Our first Klei Kodesh of the year were Hayden, Sasha and Ryan B.
