What a wonderful week it has been! The students did a WONDERFUl job with their Pesach Performance. We are so proud of them. Below are some videos of some of the songs they performed. There is also a link with photos that were taken by Steven Foonberg along with directions on how to access them on his website. We are so grateful for his beautiful photos that document such a memorable occasion. Today the students who participate in Odyssey of the Mind performed for some of the elementary school. They were so creative and humorous! The students and teachers really enjoyed it. In Math, the students are continuing to learn about shapes and angles. The other day, they used Tan Grams to create different shapes. It was really fun! You will also see a video of Mrs. Fridman's hebrew class explaining what happens on Passover. We've had an exciting week in 3rd grade. The students' animal projects are coming along wonderfully. They are such great writers and they are putting so much hard work and effort into creating a well written piece of work.
On Thursday, we had our first spirit day! Students dressed in black in white, ate black and white cookies at lunch, and went up to watch a black and white movie at lunch. We are all excited for other upcoming spirit days. In math, the 3rd graders have started geometry. The students used plastic boards and rubber bands to create geometric shapes they have been learning about. The students have also been very creative in art. They have been working on portraits and landscapes that reflect the art in the museum that they chose. Last but certainly not least, we had a successful STEAM night on Wednesday! Thank you to all who came. We had a blast! Enjoy the pictures below! Shabbat Shalom Happy Friday!
The 3rd graders resumed swimming for PE this week. They were very happy to be back in the pool! In library, Mrs. Lloyd introduced poetry to the 3rd graders. Each student picked a poem from a variety of books and read it to their classmates. Very fun! Lastly, the students have been working SO hard to prepare for the Pesach Miracle performance. They have memorized their lines, cues, songs, and dances. We have been practicing as individual classes and with the whole grade. We look forward to sharing it with you. The Pesach Miracle performance will take place on Wednesday, April 13th at 8:15 AM. Please disregard any other date you may have received. There was some miscommunication about the day. Shabbat Shalom! |
