We've had a busy week in 3rd grade! The students really enjoyed showing off their work. Thanks to all of the families who showed up.
In project studio, groups of students are creating boardgames based on various things they've learned in social studies over the year. They are working so well together and it's great to see such awesome collaboration. Lastly, this week Wise School honored the WPA with a tasty breakfast and songs from each grade. We hope you enjoy your Memorial Day Weekend! Shabbat Shalom

Happy Friday!
The 3rd graders did an excellent job working on their ERB tests. They’re finally done! They worked so hard and stayed very focused. We’re extremely proud of them. The students have also been putting the finishing touches on their book reports and museums for the art gallery. We look forward to showing you their great work at Open House this coming Monday, May 23rd. Have a great weekend! We’ve had quite the eventful week! On Monday, the whole school went out to the Israeli flag and had a moment of silence for Yom HaZikaron to honor those who have fought for the country of Israel. We lit a candle and sang Haitkvah. It was quite touching.
We also enjoyed some Israeli Dancing at American Jewish University on Monday. It was quite an exciting performance! After the show, the students practiced some Israeli dancing outside. It was a short and sweet field trip! On Thursday, we watched the 4th graders do an excellent performance to celebrate Israeli Independence Day. They incorporated everything from comedy, singing, and dancing. We sure have talented students! Lastly, students and parents celebrated the teachers for Yom Hamoreh. We had an assembly where teachers, students, and faculty honored Paula Frost, who will be retiring after 35 years of teaching at Wise School. She’s had quite the impact on many students and families and we are so happy to have had the pleasure of being a part of her time at Wise School. Shabbat Shalom! Happy Friday! We hope you enjoyed your spring break. We had an excellent first week back at school. During our Monday assembly, we said goodbye to a group of 6th graders, as they are leaving for their trip to Israel! Very exciting. Rabbi Josh also spoke to Sage about receiving an award. Sage's dad is a diplomat and travels all around the world. He has been living in Afghanistan this year and Rabbi Josh wanted to honor Sage for the sacrifice her and her family have made.
In technology, groups of students are building and programing robots made out of Lego's. Very cool! Lastly, we wanted to remind you about Monday's field trip to American Jewish University where we will watch and learn Israeli dances. The students will not need to bring anything with them because we will only be there for 2 hours. Shabbat Shalom! |
