PreK: This week we learned all about the human body. We talked about our different body systems, and what we can do to make our bodies healthy and strong.
Kindergarten: This week we did not have class due to scheduling conflicts, but are excited to see them after break! 1st Grade: This week we continued to learn about light and sound, and explored both through different activities. 2nd Grade: This week we continued working with our kites. The students improved previous designs and created new ones made out of new materials. 3rd Grade: This week we continued our study on magnets. We designed magnet experiments using the scientific method and tested one another's experiments. 4th Grade: This week presented our findings from our article study last week from Super Science. 5th Grade: This week students finished their chemical change experiments, as well as their Brainpop presentations. 6th Grade: Students are working on their data summaries and conclusions at home, and we are troubleshooting any issues with students on an individual basis along the way.

Kindergarten: This week we did not have class due to scheduling conflicts, but are excited to see them next week! 1st Grade: This week we studied sound energy. We learned about sound waves, and practiced making sound with different tools and instruments. 2nd Grade: This week we continued working with our kites. The students improved previous designs and created new ones made out of new materials. 3rd Grade: This week we continued our study on magnets. We designed magnet experiments using the scientific method and will be testing them next week. 4th Grade: This week we worked in the garden to help plant and resoil. We also used our Super Science magazines to read different articles and take notes to present to the class about different scientific phenomena. Each group will be presenting next week. 5th Grade: This week students tested their matter experiments about chemical change. They recorded their results and drew conclusions that they will be sharing with the class. 6th Grade: Students are working on their data summaries and conclusions at home, and we are troubleshooting any issues with students on an individual basis along the way. Kindergarten: This week we learned about the different states of matter. We compared the properties of water ice and dry ice, and observed them changing states. 1st Grade: This week we went to the garden and learned all about bugs. We made a bird feeder, and released ladybugs into the garden to help reduce the aphid population. 2nd Grade: This week we continued working with our kite designs but creating tails to help them fly higher. 3rd Grade: This week we continued our study on magnets by designing experiments using the scientific method. 4th Grade: This week we talked about different types of waves, and how waves are measured. 5th Grade: This week students began planing their own matter experiments about chemical change. They will testing next week. 6th Grade: Students are working on their science fair trials at home, and we are troubleshooting any issues with students on an individual basis along the way. The students continued their in-class research project, which focuses on the life and accomplishments of a great scientist of their choice. |
