PreK: This week we learned about bubbles! We made our own bubble solutions and used different tools to test if different shapes make different shape bubbles. Kindergarten: This week we studied the parts of a plant and flower, and looked at the different parts under a magnifying glass. 1st: This week we had different stations around the room to focus on the different aspects of STEM in our classroom. We observed our classroom animals, building with Legos, and watched a Brainpop. 2nd: This week we studied the silkworms and drew/wrote about our observations of the silk worms at different points of their life cycle. We also watched a video on biodiversity, and discussed the different types of plants and animals in various habitats. 3rd: This week we combined our measurement unit with a fun activity: bubbles! We had the students make bubbles on their tables and measure them using the metric system. 4th: This week we reviewed for the ERBs by revisiting the different metric units, and practiced using them during measurement stations. 5th: This week we reviewed for the ERBs by revisiting the different metric units, and practiced using them during measurement stations. 6th: This week we reviewed for the ERBs by revisiting the different metric units, reading about measurement in their science books, and practiced using them during measurement stations. They also completed self-evaluations for their science fair projects.
