Kindergarten: This week, in the spirit of Fall, we began to discuss the difference between coniferous and deciduous trees. We went on a nature hunt around our campus, and tallied the total number of coniferous and deciduous trees we spotted with the help of binoculars.
1st Grade: This week, we continued our study of the parts of a plant by completing a flower puzzle. We also went to the Plaza Garden to make observations, and harvested some of our mint and basil. 2nd Grade: This week, we collected data from our light and dark plant investigations, and drew conclusions about how plants grow in different conditions. 3rd Grade: This week, we continued to learn about habitats by creating an Australian Outback Terrarium which contains different native plants from Australia. We also talked about our bearded dragon, Bernardo, and how he and others of his kind survive in their habitat. 4th Grade: This week, we continued to learn about the body systems by focusing on the digestive system, it's parts, and how they all work together. 5th Grade: This week, we continued to work on our Water Filtration Design Challenge. Many of the groups began testing and improving their designs in order to get their water supply as clean as possible. 6th Grade: This week, we answered some of our cell questions from the beginning of the unit, and began an investigation of how to grow mold on bread.
