Kindergarten: This week, we explored how the sun affects water, and observed temperature changes with thermometers we watched water turn from its solid form into a liquid.
1st Grade: This week, we learned about our school environment by taking a nature walk around our campus, and collecting evidence of plant and animal life here at Wise School. 2nd Grade: This week, we began our seed germination experiment by place seeds in sunny and dark places, with and without water. We will check on the progress of our seeds next class, and discuss what seeds need in order to grow. 3rd Grade: This week, we learned about freshwater habitats, and discussed how plant and animals in those areas adapt to their environments, 4th Grade: This week, we learned about the 5 senses, which was an introduction to our upcoming body systems unit. 5th Grade: This week, we began our Water Filtration Design Challenge by learning about the different types of pollutants found in water, and participating in a role-play where each student added a particular pollutant to our "class lake." 6th Grade: This week, we learned about some of the greatest discoveries in biology, including the discovery of cells and microorganisms.
