It has been a very busy and full week in room 22. All of the children are doing an amazing job at saying good-bye to the mommies, daddies, and nannies. This week the children enjoyed painting with a wide range of painting tools and the various colors of apples that we eat during Rosh Hashanah. The children also enjoyed playing with play-dough, as well as building with blocks and legos. While on the rug playing with the blocks, the children worked with concepts of shape, location, and length, and they exercised their imaginations while expressing their creativity. We sang songs and enjoyed flannel board stories. We also really enjoyed singing and movement with our music teacher, Andrew. The children are loving our little yards and getting to know the friends from room 23. This week we introduced the holiday of Rosh Hashanah with books and songs, and we investigated Shofars. The children also enjoyed having challah for Shabbat on Friday as well as going to temple.
