The children continued to discuss the holiday of Simchat Torah, which means “The Rejoicing of the Torah.” The children enjoyed taking a walk to the temple to discuss the Torah with Rabbi Josh. During our time with Rabbi Josh the children were given a hands-on experience about the Torah, learning the parts of it, how it is made and what it says inside.
Many of the children have been enjoying the warm weather this week with lots of water play during our outside yard time. Please be sure to check your child’s box to make sure they have extra changes of clothes. Even though it doesn’t feel like it, fall is right around the corner. We have begun to use our sense of sight to look at fall colors. We plan to explore what other of the five senses we will use during the fall season. Please take some time to collect fall items this weekend and bring them into class next week. The class enjoyed taking their first trip to the Farmer’s Market. Many of the children enjoyed picking out and tasting their own fruit. We had a lovely Shabbat with Emmie and her family. Shabbat Shalom T&T
