Dear Ulpanon Bet Parents,
We continued to tell the story of Pesach, mostly focusing this week on the ten plagues. We talked about how G-d passed over the Jewish people’s houses, pasach, which means pass over. Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said to him, shalachna et ami (let me people go!) Pharaoh would answer with, lo lo lo, atem lo tilchu mi po (no no no, I will not let you go!) Malka Clement came and sang a repeat after me song about the ten plagues with the children that used their whole body. Every two children had a turn to get up in front of the class and lead the dance. We had PE with Coach Danny where the children began volleyball. They practiced hitting the ball, tossing it in the air and catching it. This worked on their hand eye coordination and they each had a turn serving the ball. We had Music with Maestro where he sang some songs about Pesach, and also David Melech Yisrael (David King of Israel). We also had Music with Ditza where she sang some Hebrew songs about Pesach including the “Ma Nishtana.” Thank you to Jessica, Sawyer’s mom, who read us two books on Passover in the library this week, “The Littlest Frog” and “Sammy Spider’s First Passover” both by Sylvia Rouss. Thank you to Asher, and his family, who helped us celebrate Shabbat. Reminders: We collect Tzedakah and Sova every Friday. Friday, March 31st, Adler will be our Shabbat Aba. Next Monday, March 27, WISE school will hold a SOVA drive, and we will visit our first ever SOVA market on Witzman Court! Please send your child to school with an item to donate to the SOVA bin for Passover. We will visit the SOVA market on Witzman Court as a class to donate these items. Items to include can be: Kosher for Passover canned goods, macaroons, Kosher for Passover Cereal, Matza, Gefilte Fish. Please visit the market yourself (and ideally with your child) to make a donation or to pick up a SOVA bag to then bring back and donate in our temple SOVA bin. April 4th at 11:00 A.M. Passover Seder in Room 9! Parents are invited to this. Shabbat Shalom, Gali, Meirav and Talia
