Shalom Ulpanon Families, It’s almost time to say goodbye… We had our Ulpanon Bet closing circle yesterday. The children had the chance to share their learning experiences from this year with you, and we wrote a poem in Hebrew and English to honor each child. The children received Hebrew Pre-K certificates, which were sent home with the poems, blessings and binders with the children's work. It was an emotional and beautiful closing circle where we had the chance to share and reflect. We are very proud of the children for completing this magical two-year Hebrew Immersion program! They learned a new language while developing and challenging their minds for new learning. Thank you to you, Ulpanon Bet families, for your support in the Ulpanon program and for your patience. We appreciate your “understanding” Hebrew when we communicated around the children. We are looking forward to celebrating with you at the Pre-K celebration next week. Jewish Artists Update: Last week we introduced the artist, Mark Rothko. We continued creating Omanut Kmo Rothko (Art like Rothko) with crayon-transfer-art. The children were inspired to express their emotions through colors on different textures of sandpaper. The children observed how the color from their art was transferred to paper via the heat of an teacher-held iron. They then shared their words about the emotions expressed in their art. Their creations and words are hanging on the wall. During P. E with Coach Danny, we played All-Touch T-Ball. The children said goodbye to Coach Danny and thanked him a wonderful year and many fun moments! Important Dates:
Wishing you a Shabbat Shalom! B’vracha, Meirav and Shoshi
