Shabbat Shalom Families,
We began our week with an all school Havdalah service led by Rabbi Josh and Brock. Together, we sang songs, recited blessings over the wine, twisted candle and spices and danced, wishing each other a good week (shavua tov). A highlight of the service was smelling the sweet spices, which reminds us to have a sweet week. After the service, it was time for music with Brock where we sang and danced some more. Not only did he sing some of our favorite Passover songs, but also, he taught us a few new holiday tunes and invited us to play tambourines. Our conversations about Passover have continued to blossom. Having the opportunity to partake in a classroom seder together was so meaningful. It was a beautiful Seder and we want to thank each and every one of you for helping us to make it happen. We appreciate all of the food you provided and for joining us. Your children were not only very proud to share their knowledge of and connection to Passover with you, but also to host you as their guests in the classroom while we celebrated together. We wish you all wonderful seder in your own homes. Throughout the week, we worked on our fine motor skills as we continued to build stronger connections and friendships with one another. The more days that pass, the more the children are communicating with one another and independently resolving situations as they learn and play. While using upper case letter stamps, the children were engagied in conversations with each other. We could hear them telling one another which letter he/she was using as he/she carefully stamped letters onto a piece paper. When it came time to clean up, the children noticed the stamps' box was marked with letters signaling each letter's proper place in the set, which was in alphabetical order. Through teamwork, a few of our friends worked together matching the stamp to its corresponding place. After hard work, concentration and the shifting of letters, each stamp was alphabetically packed away in its proper spot. Today was Ella's special Shabbat. We would like to thank the Tavakoli Family for providing snack and celebrating with us. We enjoyed having your family in our classroom. We hope everyone has a fun-filled and safe spring break- enjoy your time off with your family. We will miss each of you and can't wait to see you when we return on Monday, May 2. Lastly, we want to wish Noa and Dylan a very happy 3rd birthday (April 13th and 23rd). Michelle and Jen Reminders: -Spring Break is from April 18th- May 1st. -School will resume on May 2nd. -Upon arrival back from spring break, we will be celebrating Mother's and Grandmother's Week.
