Shabbat Shalom!!
This was our first full week at school and the children did so well! To start off our week, Teacher Brock came to have music with our class. We got to play the shakers and he even brought out the parachute for us. Everyone got to hold a part of it, shake it, and run underneath. We practiced singing lots of songs and sat so nicely on the carpet. During our morning activities, we played with playdough, continued to work on fine motor skills by stacking and placing pegs in the peg board, and painted too. All of our friends have made many improvements this week by using their words, waiting for their turn, and having nice hands and bodies amongst their friends. They would ask for a turn and wait for their friend to nicely hand them the toy. This reciprocal play has gone on all week long and it has been so amazing to see all of our friends playing together. For circle time, we continue to sing songs, learn about colors, shapes, numbers, letters, and letter sounds. All of your children have seemed to really enjoy it all and they ask every day to sing them. Our new hit song for the week is 5 Little Monkeys Swinging in the Tree. We start off really loudly and get really quiet during each verse. This week, we also had a special visitor: Rabbi Yoshi. He came to visit us and we sang the Hamotzi for him and he was so proud of all of the children. Everyone has been doing so well singing it before snack and we almost have it all memorized! On Shabbat, we decided to do something new and fun! Since we had celebrated and had a mini birthday party, the children had so much energy we had a dance party, followed by kids yoga. Everyone had so much fun dancing around, and practicing different stretches and motions. Thank you to all of you for your continued support and for helping make this another great week. See you all on Monday! Michelle & Jen Reminders: Wednesday, October 28th is an early dismissal and we are out at 12pm due to Parent/Teacher Conferences. Thursday, October 29th, there is No School, as we have Parent/Teacher Conferences.
