Shabbat Shalom!! We had a very busy and exciting week. To start off our week, we had a practice Lockdown Drill. Prior to the drill, we prepared the children by explaining what we were going to do and how we were going to do it. We put down the blinds, and hid in the bathroom where we had to be very very quiet. Everyone did so well "playing this game." We went on a nature walk where we collected leaves and stick, and then painted them gold. We played on the other side of our playground with some friends from another First Steps classroom who we don't see as often. All the children got to play in the sandbox, explore with water and building castles, and built new friendships. For Shabbat, we went on a picnic with another First Steps classroom. We got to sing songs, eat challah, and fruit and celebrate Shabbat together. Thank you to the Firstenberg-Khazaei for bringing in snack for this week! A few reminders: Daditude is this Sunday, November 22nd from 9:15 – 10:45 a.m. Dads can enjoy the morning networking and chatting with each other while your children play on the Witzman Yard. Wednesday, November 25th is a Pupil Free Day. The EC teaching staff will be training further with our Occupational Therapist, Lindsay Astor Grant. Have a nice weekend!! Michelle & Jen
