Shabbat Shalom!
This week we had Teacher Brock come and everyone got to play the shakers and sing songs. During circle time, we have expanded on our conversations about Thanksgiving. We talked about the Pilgrims, the Native Americans, the Mayflower, and how Thanksgiving started. After that, we continued to talk about what we were all thankful for. The responses varied from people, to toys, and even food! It was so amazing to see how the children put everything together and were able to come up with something they are thankful for. Since we have been learning about Thanksgiving, we talked about the colors brown, yellow, orange, and red. Everyone got to make their own tree by painting it and painting on leaves using the colors of their choice. During snack time, our conversations have started to really take off! The children love to talk about what we are eating, ask each other questions, and take turns passing around the snack to their friends. On Shabbat, everyone was saying the prayers and it was truly amazing to listen to! We are so proud of how far everyone has come and excited to continue to watch them grow. On the playground, friendships are continuing to blossom, turn-taking is growing, and using our words instead of hands continues to improve. Just a quick thank you to the Firstenberg-Khazaei family for our two new class books. We loved reading them during circle time. Another thank you to the Neman family, for providing snack this week. Everyone loved trying the new fruits and healthy snacks and we really appreciate having the variety.
