Shabbat Shalom!! We had another fun and exciting week where we were all able to learn and grow even more. As a class, we talked about Hanukkah and what it was all about. We learned about driedels, hanukiahs and menorahs, candles, and how many nights of Hanukkah we have. As each day passed, the children started to talk about all of this on their own throughout the day and when presented with questions about Hanukkah they were even able to answer them. We got to paint sticks to make our own Hanukiahs as well as a driedel. For a sensory activity, the children were able to squeeze paint onto a piece of paper and then move it around using their hands and fingers while it was enclosed in a ziploc bag. We also placed squishy beads in the kiddie pool and placed sea animals inside. As a group, we all sat at the table very nicely and got to take turns counting tiles, putting glue on, and putting on the bolts to make our very own Hanukiahs. Everyone sat at the table for 45 minutes and waited so patiently for their very own turn. We got to engage in more conversation about what we were making and continue to learn all about Hanukkah. This was a great week! Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend and a great first night of Hanukkah on Sunday. Thank you to the Afshar family for providing snack for the week! The children really enjoyed it. -Another important reminder: Our Hanukkah Tot Shabbat is on Friday evening, December 11 at 5:30pm.
