Many of the children were excited to come back to school after Rosh Hashanah, and to share with us their experiences at temple and how they heard the shofar blast. This week we discussed the holiday of Yom Kippur. We continued to examine different shapes, sizes, and colors of shofars. The children then had the opportunity to paint their own shofars in various shades of brown, allowing them to compare and contrast the light and dark of just one color. We also enjoyed music with Andrew this past Tuesday. Andrew introduced finger cymbals, and we had the opportunity to hear and experiment with soft sounds and loud sounds.
The children are really beginning to create some beautiful connections and friendships as well as acclimate to the classroom routine. All of the children are loving outside time on our patio. They have really begun working together to create some elaborate castles. They are also enjoying some of the new bikes on our bigger yard as well as playing with the friends in room 23. We hope everyone has a good yuntif and an easy fast for anyone that is fasting. Shabbat Shalom T & T Reminders Thursday October 5th and Friday October 6th School will be closed for Sukkot
