Welcome back we hope you had a great time with your kids! We started our unit on Tu Be’shevt – The birthday of the trees. We sang the Ilanot and Shkediyah song (Almond tree) and told the story about the Shkediyah tree through a book and used a flannel story with trees birds and butterflies. We spoke about what fruits grow on trees. Tu Be’shvat or the “New Year of the trees “ is Jewish Arbor Day. The holiday is observed on the 15th (tu)of the Hebrew month of Sh’vat. On Tu Be’shvat we are planting seeds, plants and trees. We told the story of Eliezer Veh Gezer- a story about a carrot that was too large to pull out of the ground and with group effort they helped one another pull the enormous carrot out of the ground. The children know the song so please ask them to sing it to you. We continue working on our special unit Rainbow (Keshet). The children used different materials to create their own rainbow. Each of them had a short story about their rainbows. Please bring all kinds of seeds for planting. Shabbat Shalom Reminders On January 18 Presley is Ema Shabbat Tot Shabbat on January 12 at 10
