Dear Ulpanon Bet Families, “Mi’Shenichnas Adar Marbin B’Simch”-We rejoice when the Hebrew month of Adar enter. We were happy to learn a song about it and sang some Purim songs in class this week. In class we talked about the 4 Mitzvot of Purim:“Mikra Megila”- reading the story of Purim, “Matanot La’evyoni”- giving Tezedakah, “Mishte”- mean party, celebrating the holiday and “Mishloach Manot- sharing basket of goodies with each other. We continued to work on Purim vocabulary words: masecha/masechot. matanot la’evyonim, keter, oznay haman, melech, malka,, mikrah Megillah, Megillat Ester, mishloach manot, laytzan, armon, tachposet/tachposot (mask/masks, gifts for the poor, crown, hamentaschen, king, queen, reading of the Megillah, Esther’s Megillah scroll, Purim basket, clown, castle, costume(s)). During P.E. with coach Danny we reviewed how we’ve grown and improved in various skills: coordination, focusing and understanding new games. We also had 4 station with the activities: Tossing catching, velcro paddle and balls, catcher cups baskets balls and volley foam ball toss. In understanding the Purim story the children were asked: “why do we wear mask and costume for Purim?” The children had very interesting answer like: “we don’t want people to know who we are”. “ We want to be someone else”. The children then created beautiful masks by tracing and painting. We had fun during music with Ditza and sang Purim songs, danced with the laytzan clown and listened to the Purim story as Ditza was dressed up as the Purim story characters. Next Friday will be Beit Issie Farmer’s Market. Room 1 is assigned to a whole melon (uncut), please bring it by Thursday morning 2/22, also please send your child with Tezedekah on Friday to to be used at the “shook”- Market. Reminders:
Shabbat Shalom and have a wonderful weekend, B’Vracha, Meirav and Shoshi
