Dear Ulpanon Bet Families,
The children had a wonderful time celebrating Thanksgiving! They prepared corn muffins for the entire grade and enjoyed other traditional Thanksgiving dishes at the Pre-K Thanksgiving feast, alongside their friends from all five Pre-K classes. The children wore their festive tavnit (pattern) necklaces and headbands. One of our teachers arrived in a pilgrim costume and retold the Thanksgiving story; the children then shared why they are thankful. During P.E. with Coach Danny, the children played ‘Air, Land, Sea’ as the difficulty level of the game was elevated by adding steps to each turn. They had a blast in an intense game of SCAT, choosing a locomotor action, jumping 10 big jumps, calling out “freeze”, and then rolling the ball to target their friends. We continue to practice our Hebrew vocabulary and holiday concepts as we revisit the Hanukkah story. Also, the children are learning Hanukkah songs, including:
Reminders:
Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving! B’vracha, Shoshi and Meirav
