Dear Parents,
Although this was a short week, we were definitely not short on senses-filled activities! The kids have been able to recall the information that we learned last week about our sense of touch and different vocabulary words that we learned to go along with this lesson. We added water to our large cornstarch container and made goop, experimented with water both outside and water colors indoors. The children really loved being able to connect the rainy weather to activities that we were doing! We have introduced new puzzles and tabletop activities that have an indirect focus on numbers and shapes. We have even been walking around the yards pointing out shapes and colors that we know, along with textures. We have also begun casually introducing secondary colors (orange, green and purple) and we have started mixing primary colors to make these. If you have paint supplies at home, feel free to let your child experiment with mixing these primary colors and see if they come to the same conclusion at home! Reminders: Next week is Father and Grandfather’s week! Dads and grandpas are welcome to come from 9-10am next week to do art projects and play! There is a brunch for Dads and grandpas on Friday the 26th at 10am in Z/H and there will be an all school Shabbat following at 11am. Also, Monday February 29th is picture day! If you have further questions about these events, please feel free to ask either Lashelle or myself and we will be happy to assist in any way that we can. Have a great weekend and we look forward to seeing everybody on Monday! Best wishes, Tatiana and Lashelle
