Dear Parents,
What an incredible week filled with senses of touch activities! The students got to immerse themselves in materials that had different textures. We had bubble wrap available for the children to smash with their hands, step on and hear the sounds, and roll over it with cars to make them pop! We have noticed the children using the descriptive vocabulary that we learned last week, such as bumpy, smooth, soft and rough. These terms have also been reinforced at circle time when we play matching games with shapes. With the nice weather back, this week we got to reintroduce water play when we go outdoors! Since Tu B’Shevat the children still have fresh in their minds that the nature around us needs water to live so they have been helping to water plants, as well as experiments with volume by transferring water from one container to a container of a different size. Reminder: There is no school this upcoming Monday February 15th and Tuesday February 16th. Next week Shabbat boy is Reese! Also, Father and Grandfather’s Week is the following week, February 22nd-26th. You will be receiving an invitation in your child’s cubby, but please feel free to ask us any questions that you may have. Thank you and have a great weekend! Best wishes, Tatiana and Lashelle
