March 13-17, 2017
Although a short week, the children were hard at work in Room 12. We started the week off by continuing to practice puzzles. All of the kids are becoming puzzle masters. We enjoy seeing their great progress and ability to complete all sorts of puzzles independently. This activity helps to strengthen their critical thinking skills and allows them to learn to pay close attention to details. They also learn to focus on colors and shapes. We continued to work on drawing complete pictures. The children are adding more details each day to their works of art. We see more shapes, lines, colors and designs. Paisley is drawing trees and rainbows. Owen likes to draw a sun and a moon with electricity lines. Wynter loves drawing flowers using every color in the rainbow. Room 12 also enjoyed spending time outside in the beautiful weather. The children practiced their gross motor skills on the big yard by running, jumping, climbing, and swinging on the monkey bars. The children took pleasure in making lemon water infused with cucumber. They used their fine motor skills to juice the lemons and cut the cucumbers. Ella said, “This is hard work!” On Friday, the children tasted the new water for Shabbat. Elliot thought it tasted a little too sour, while Neda said, “Yum!” We also want to thank Kora’s family for joining us for Shabbat this Friday. We loved singing songs, prayers and eating challah with you all! Please check out our Room 12’s Google Drive for weekly pictures of all of our activities and fun!!
