With only two weeks to discuss Passover, we kicked it into high gear! Room 23 is filled with Passover goodies to explore. There are various Seder plates the children can sort by color and shape and a variety of fun puzzles that work on fine-motor skills, visual processing and sequencing. And FROGS! We have frogs on our nose and frogs on our toes- frogs in the playdough and frogs sticking to the window! Frogs are everywhere…we now know how King Pharaoh must have felt ! On Tuesday, the children made matzah Pizza for snack. Each child was given a piece of matzah; individually, they spread on the sauce and sprinkled the cheese on top. The children seemed to enjoy the yummy treat and were proud to know they made it by themselves. It is a fun snack to make and eat during the week of Passover. After our exciting trip to the garden last week, the children have been very curious about plants, gardening and how things grow, lifecycle. We decided to do even more planting in Room 23- we are botanists. Each child put soil into their individual planter cup. Next, they added seeds and then another layer of soil. Each day, the children are taking responsibility to water the plants and ensure the receive plenty of sunshine. We are excited to see the seeds sprouts and observe the life cycle of a plant. (A sad update: some friends in the afternoon were playing with our planter cups, and sadly all the seeds were dumped out. We look forward to planting again with your children. Please remember, the blue yard is the available play space after 2:00. Thank you) Just A Few Reminders;
