We hope everyone had an easy fast and had a good Yom Kippur with friends and family. We had a special music time with Andrew and our friends in room 22. Research shows that children who are emersed in music do better in reading and math when they start school, are better able to focus and control their bodies, and have higher self-esteem. The children also learned about the holiday of Sukkot. During circle time we discussed the structure of a kosher Sukkah and introduced some of our favorite Sukkot tunes. We also took a Sukkah walk around campus to count how many Sukkahs there where. We found 4 and each was a little bit different from the next. The children really enjoyed looking, feeling and smelling the wood, branches and decorations. Please come to the classroom to look at the amazing Sukkot creations that were made by the children.
