Dear Parents, We had such rich experiences this week in our music class with Andrew. The children played “cuckoo clock” by hiding behind their colored scarf. Every time we said, "cuckoo," the children “came out” from behind the scarf. We also sang, "hickity tickity," when we said our names. We worked on our coordination and repeating skills by playing the drum to the beat of the songs, "The Wheels on the Bus" and "In the Jungle." We played with playdoh, rolling out the dough into various shapes, including different sized balls to make a snowman, and using the cookie cutters to cut it into the shape of the cutter. A special thank you to all the Fathers and Grandfathers that have come through our class this week. It means so much to us and the children when they have guests in the class! We’ve been monitoring the little soil cups in which we planted flower seeds. We have started to see some green popping through the soil. Every morning, we check on our plants and the children help squeeze the spray bottle (working on their fine motor skills and coordination) to help water our plants. We talked to the children about how important it was to keep our bodies safe and healthy by using tissues to wipe our nose, and reviewing that in addition to washing our hands before and after eating, we need to wash our hands a few more times a day, especially after wiping our nose, or touching our face. We had a beautiful Shabbat service with all the Fathers, Grandfathers and extended family with Ditza, Rabbis Josh, Yoshi, Sari, Ron Stern, Woznica, and Cantors Lam and Lutz. Shabbat Shalom, Gali, Erika and Debbie Reminders: Emma is our Shabbat Ima on Friday, February 16th No school in honor of President’s Day on Monday, February 19th No school for Professional Development Day on Tuesday, February 20th
