Dear Room #12 Parents, We hope you enjoyed the long weekend with friends and family. On Wednesday morning, our class took a nice walk to visit Rabbi Spike in his office. It is always so exciting to see the faces of all the children as they realize they are sitting in such an important office. Rabbi Spike spoke to each child individually, and then told all of them a very special story involving many puppets. It was a wonderful experience, please check out the picture taken and placed in our front window. We introduced the holiday of Tu B’Shevat to the children. We read a book together, and will begin individual planting of pinto beans in a clear plastic cup. The children will have the responsibility of caring for their own cups which will be placed by our back window for lots of light. We have begun talking about all the wonderful things trees give us each and every day. We also talked about what we need to give to trees to make them grow healthy and tall. After our visit to Rabbi Spike’s office, our class took a walk to find trees to give a hug to. It was so much fun, all the pictures our posted on our wall in our room. We hugged the trees to give our appreciation to them for all they do for us. We will be having a Tu B’Shevat celebration on January 4th. There is a sign-up sheet on the top of the cubbies for each of you to bring one of the food items to help with our celebration. We appreciate all of you helping us out. As always, we enjoyed our music time with Teacher Brock, he is wonderful with all the children. Enjoy your weekend, Shabbat Shalom Cindy & Miriam RemindersReservations Preferred: We hope you’ll be joining us next Friday evening, January 30 at 5:30 p.m. for our next evening Tot Shabbat.
