Dear Parents,
Our week started off very busy. We had a beautiful Havdalah service which was followed by a fire drill. Your children did great, given the amount of transitions that took place throughout the day. They continued to work on our giant robot by painting on glue and using tissue paper to give it some clothes and twisting papers to make eyelashes. We are getting close to finishing this super fun project and everyone has been having a blast going through the process of watching it get bigger and becoming more developed. On Wednesday, we joined our friends from Room 14 for a fun filled music class with Andrew. We sang Passover songs, played instruments and followed directions. On Thursday, Rabbi Sari joined us and our friends from Room 13 in our amphitheater outside. She told a wonderful story in regards to Passover and how important it is to appreciate the small things we see on a daily basis and in our environment. Your children are enjoying and taking full advantage of the beautiful weather this week. We have been playing outside, admiring the plants and flowers that are growing and having a blast dancing away. On Friday, we spent Shabbat together as a classroom and enjoyed the wonderful service. We got to explore the open grassy area by the Katz Pavilion where we spent time together talking about Passover, singing songs and enjoying one another’s company as well as all the beautiful things that surrounded us. We have started our unit on Passover and the story that encompasses the holiday. We have informed your children that this is a very busy and detailed holiday, and the importance of getting to school on time so that we can complete everything we need to do. We would really appreciate your help getting your children here at 9:00 with their sweet and quick goodbye. Shabbat Shalom!
