Dear Parents, This week, we are continuing to discuss the story of Passover and how it relates to specific areas of the children's lives. We have been discussing different values present in the story, such as, common courtesy and respect or kavod. Which characters displayed respect toward one another? Is it important to do that, why? The children are showing respect for one another by allowing a friend in line in front of them, using polite table manners, taking turns, waiting for a turn to speak instead of interrupting and generally being considerate of one another. The children also began working on special art projects where they have been able to express their creativity through watercolors, paint and sand. They are busy making some special Passover keepsakes, as well. On Tuesday, we took a long walk around the school, admiring the nature and what's around us. The children practiced songs, enjoyed a picnic snack and were provided with paper and crayons to express how they were feeling. As they listened to soothing music, they independently drew pictures about their experience. It was a meaningful for all, as nature, music, and art brought out our creative side. We look forward to continuing to do this in the upcoming weeks. On Thursday, April 14th, at 11:30 am, please join us for our Seder in the classroom. As a friendly reminder, please do not bring siblings as we want to focus on the children in Room 15. Shabbat Shalom and have a great weekend, Bam, Lindsay, and Cindy REMINDERS: April 10th- Daditude at 9:15am April 15th- Shabbat helper (Gili)
