Dear Room #12 Parents,
Finally… a full week of school… yeah! We started our week off by finishing up the special Thanksgiving art project your children have been working on for weeks. We hope all of you proudly display them in your homes for this wonderful holiday. We rode bicycles on Baron Field on Tuesday. The children always look forward to this day as they are able to not only ride the bicycles, but use their large muscles to run, skip, and jump on the field. Wednesday was our library time, and we once again enjoyed our library mom reading to us. Your children also had time to look through books that were especially picked out for their visit. As always, we loved music with teacher Brock. He always brings such love and energy to our room. Your children are having a great time with him. We would like to bring to your attention our Friendship Tree we have just started in our room. As we have been talking about Thanksgiving, the common thread of this story has always come back to friendship. We have, and will continue to talk to your children about the meaning of friendship, and how it applies to them directly. We asked the children several questions…”What is a friend?”, “What can we do to help our friends?” “What do you like to do with your friends?” These are rather challenging questions for young children to answer immediately, so our hope is for them to be able to think of something as the school year moves along. As they say something, it is written out on a red heart, and hung on our Friendship Tree. As mentioned, this is a project that will continue for the entire school year. Please stop by to take a look. As a reminder, there will be no school next Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, November 26, 27, and 28 for a long Thanksgiving break for you and your children. Shabbat Shalom and enjoy a wonderful weekend. Cindy & Miriam
