Dear parents, This week we introduced the story of Thanksgiving to your children. We will add more info to the Tale as time goes on. Your children are very excited to celebrate this holiday. We will culminate our discussion on Thanksgiving with a Friendship Feast with our friends from Room #13 & #14. Thank you to all who signed-up to bring food for your children to enjoy during their Feast. We cut open and explored the insides of a large pumpkin, and a smaller squash. We baked the squash, and gave samples to your children. Teacher Bam brought in edible Indian corn, all in different colors. Once the corn was warmed up, samples were once again given to your children. We talked about the many different colors of the corn, and we asked our class if the different colors changed the taste of the corn. Your children received amazing exercise riding bikes on Barron Field. We all had lots of fun enjoying music with Teacher Brock. As you all must know, Teacher Brock is getting married this weekend to his love, Natalia. I’m sure you all join in, along with all of us, in wishing them both a happy and healthy life together. Our class went to the Max Hess Library this week to read books, and listen while Jonah’s mom read to your children. We enjoyed a very special treat this week. Rabbi Josh came to visit rooms #13, 14, and 15 on Thursday. He read a book to the children about Thanksgiving outside in the amphitheater. We also sang songs, and talked about what we were thankful for. What a very special treat! We wish all of you a wonderful Shabbat, and a great weekend. Shabbat Shalom to all.
