Dear Room 12 Parents,
Once again, our week was filled with tremendous learning and fun. On Monday, the children gave their parents the special invitation for our classroom Hanukkah party next Thursday, December 18 at 11:15 a.m. On Tuesday, the children continued working on their Hanukkiot, taking time to pick their favorite colors and we watched as they counted the decorations they chose to decorate their special Hanukkah project. In addition, your children are making decorations for the classroom, so please make time to stop by and admire how beautiful the room looks. Our class has mastered the “freeze dance” which has become a part of our closing circle. This is a great game you can play with your children at home as well. In keeping with the Hanukkah theme, we’ve been reading some wonderful literature to the children. Their favorite books have been How Do Dinosaurs Say Happy Hanukkah? and Maccabee! Music, as you know is a big part of each day and we have been practicing Hanukkah songs that we will sing for you next week at our class party. Have a great weekend. Shabbat Shalom! Miriam and Cindy
