It's been a short and wonderful week in Room 24! On Wednesday, the children painted trees for Tu B'shevat. We experimented with green and brown paint. Some friends painted with brushes, while others used their hands. The children are working together and individually to create beautiful art. They are learning to develop their imagination and creativity. They are learning the names of colors and also how to make new colors. As they paint, they are practicing their fine motor skills, critical thinking skills and also their pre-writing skills. Best of all, they are learning to share and cooperate with each other. Edward, and his banjo, came to visit us this week. Edward is a friend of Teacher Sue. He joined the children outside and played many songs that the children were familiar with. They sang along, danced and also had the opportunity to strum the banjo. It was a wonderful new experience. We know some of our friends are not feeling well. We hope you feel better soon. We miss you at school. Happy Weekend to all! Shabbat Shalom! Sue and Judy RemindersReservations Preferred: We hope you’ll be joining us next Friday evening, January 30 at 5:30 p.m. for our next evening Tot Shabbat.
