We have had a very exciting and productive week in Room 24!
On Monday, we did some taste testing with fruit, in honor of Tu B'shvat, We tasted an avocado, tangelo, pear, apple, and orange. We discovered that all of these fruit have seeds and they all grow on trees. We talked about how about the seeds looked different and also what might happen if we planted the seeds. We noticed that some of the seeds were big and some were small. On Wednesday, our friends planted the seeds from the fruit that we tasted on Monday. As we planted, we noticed that some of the children loved playing with the dirt and planting with their hands. We planted, we watered and now we will watch our plants grow. We are hoping that the children appreciate and develop a sense of wonder as they watch their individual plants grow. Ask your children, which fruits grow on trees? We ended our week with a beautiful Shabbat. Thank you to Sheila for the lovely plant and challah! Thank you to Asher, Rosie and Michelle for the wonderful healthy snacks this week. We hope you enjoy your long weekend! See you on Wednesday, 1/21/2015. Shabbat Shalom, Sue and Judy
