Dear Parents,
Thank you all for attending our class party. A special thank you to Jonathan, Josiah’s dad, who led us in the blessings over the candles. We had Music with Andrew where we turned into magical candles by waving scarves in the air. We spun, danced. When the “magic” got stronger the children then became candles that could jump, run and finally melt. Then the children became Dreidels and we sang “Dreidel dreidel dreidel.” The children threw the scarves for every letter we sang in the song, nun gimmel hey and shin. We also sang “Sevivon sof sof sof.” We used fruit shaped shakers (pear, orange, apple, avocado, lemon, banana, plum) and the children became marching Maccabees with the shakers. Then we used drums and we made latkes with them. We went to Shabbat services with the whole EC and had a front row seat to sing along with Ditza and Rabbi Josh. It was such a great feeling of community with all the children there. Wishing you a beautiful, happy, healthy Hanukkah and winter vacation. See you in 2018! Shabbat Shalom, Debbie, Erika and Gali Reminders: Winter break December 18th- January 1st. School resumes on Tuesday, January 2nd.
