Hello Parents, On Monday we were honored to be part of the Beam signing day. Each child at Wise School was given the opportunity to sign part of a beam that was then placed into the new building. We saw the construction workers building and putting up beams so carefully. Our children "signed" by having their their hand painted to make a print. They then picked their own spot where they wanted to place it. It was a great way to see all the Wise students signing, coloring and adding their own uniqueness to be a permanent part of the new Wise building. At the ceremony where they added the beam you can see our handprints!!! Thank you everyone for joining us for conferences Tuesday and Wednesday. We are so glad to be partnering with you to make this year so successful. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, we are always available.
We have enjoyed the hot weather this week. We have been spending so much time outside playing with water, wet sand, mud and bubbles! The children have played with different textures in the water table such as bubbles, soap, conditioner and a variety of colors. They enjoyed pouring water on their own bodies, and on the bodies of their friends. They could water the plants and watch them grow outside. We had water tables in the sandbox, which was a fun way to make mud! It was wonderful to have some summer weather in winter, and we look forward to the rain that is supposed to arrive next week. On our Cooking Thursday we made delicious banana bread. Each child was given the opportunity to smash and squish the bananas in the bag and add all the ingredients into the mixing bowl. We used our strong muscles to mix the batter and pour it into the muffin tins. It was a delicious treat, and we hope you enjoyed the banana muffin each child got to take home. Reminders: *We have our makeup class picture on Wednesday the 22nd *Tot Shabbat is Saturday the 18th Tamara, Asher's mom was amazing in bringing in a nest cam so we can view a live feed to view the eggs all weekend from the classroom. She is recording it at home so we we miss any fun hatching adventures! Thank you so much for sharing this exciting experience with our class.
