Dear Parents, Our week was off to a fast start with our monthly EC wide Havdalah service led by Jen Shankman. It was such a beautiful way to say goodbye to Shabbat and hello to the new week. We enjoyed Music with Andrew where we used bells, and we had to listen to the beat of the song, and hit the bells with the mallets at the right part of the song. We also started singing some Passover songs. We also had a fire drill on Monday and practiced safety. The children did such a great job getting up the Katz Pavilion safely. Spring is in the air in Room 24. The children had the opportunity to use eye droppers, working on their fine motor skills to grasp the bulb and squeeze liquid water color onto coffee filters with a variety of spring like colors to make flowers. The children used bopper like paint brushes to dip in spring colors to paint plates which will make a different sort of flower to hang up on the wall. We played on the other side of the yard, the Discoverers yard, where the children enjoyed climbing up the rope net, sliding down the slide, riding the tricycles and plasma cars, and even climbing up the little green jungle gym. Thank you to Leo and his family for helping us celebrate Shabbat. We had a beautiful Shabbat service with Ditza and Rabbi Josh. Shabbat Shalom, Gali, Erika and Debbie Reminders: Sidney is our Shabbat Girl on Friday, March 16th.
