.Dear Parents,
What a wonderful week it has been getting to know you and your beautiful children. Thank you for helping us to make this a smooth transition. Your cooperation has been integral to the process. Each of your children have become familiar with their teachers, peers, and new environment. We are already seeing friendships form and can’t wait to see them grow. Through playing and spending time together, we have noticed that your children love playing with busses on the carpet, feeding the babies, cooking in the kitchen, climbing, and riding the tricycles. They have enjoyed interacting with our Rosh Hashanah materials and singing songs, and some even tried dipping their apples in honey. In circle time, we sing hello to each child, helping them to learn everyones name. This is important in our development as a classroom community and helps your children make meaningful connections. We sang Brown Bear Brown Bear. This week we introduced the symbols of Rosh Hashanah, such as the Shofar, Shanah Tovah cards, honey, and apples. We will continue exploring the High Holy days in the coming weeks. On Thursday, we celebrated Tiffany's birthday with her family. We sang Happy Birthday and ate delicious cupcakes. Thank you to Tiffany's family for a lovely celebration! For our first Shabbat, we sang blessings and ate challah as a class. We are excited to continue teaching the class about shabbat and its meaning. Remember: There is no school next Monday and Tuesday due to Rosh Hashanah. We will see you on Wednesday. We want to thank you all for being so supportive of your children in our First Steps program. We are delighted to have you and your children in Room 24! Warmly, Julia and Marcela
