Dear Parents,
What a busy week we had! Although the weather outside has said otherwise, we are full swing into Fall in Room 24. Thank you to Evan and Leo’s moms who brought us some Fall decorations. The cinnamon pine cones smell delicious and all the pumpkins and gourds have been such a beautiful touch. Next week we will explore the pumpkin, cut it open, and let the children experience the strings and seeds inside. The children had several opportunities to work on their fine motor skills this week, using Fall shaped cookie cutters to decorate paper that we will hang up in the class, and we also used glue to stick down colored paper to create giant leaves for our walls. We enjoyed Music with Andrew, going to our NEW Music room (the classroom next door). It was a nice change of scenery for the children and we were able to have wide open spaces to march around and wave our rainbow streamers. As the holidays are now behind us and school is now full time, it is important to help your child stick to the routine we have been implementing in our classroom. Please help your children to be here at 9:00, as we want them to benefit from interacting with their friends and playing with all the manipulatives we have in school before we have a 9:30 circle time and stories. We visited our first Beit Issie-Farmer’s Market on Friday. We had such a nice walk to the EC parking lot holding our rope, and we were able to get fruit to eat back in the classroom Thank you parents for the grapes, they made a delicious addition to our fruit cups at the Farmers Market! The money that is raised goes to help our friends that receive special care at Beit Issie in Israel. We hope you all have a wonderful, HEALTHY, weekend, Shabbat Shalom, Debbie, Erika and Gali Reminders: Noon dismissal on Tuesday, October 31st for Parent Teacher Conferences.
