Dear Parents, It literally happened overnight, but we are officially in Fall! The weather outside has finally caught up to the curriculum we are teaching and showing in the classroom, and it has been such a rich experience to be able to talk about Fall. We have worked on altering our schedule to fit the current needs of the class, having lunch a little earlier and then having a full circle time afterwards. The children love sitting for circle time. Their favorite book, read multiple times a day, is “The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry, and The Big Hungry Bear.” With the weather change, we spent a little more time in our classroom this week exploring more centers. The children enjoyed playing with playdoh, using the cookie cutters to make shapes, or using other toys to manipulate the playdoh into fun designs. We cut open a pumpkin and explored it, talked about the color and what we thought would be inside, and actually touched the strings and seeds inside. It was gooey and not all the children wanted to touch it, but it was a fun experience for those who did. We enjoyed Music with Andrew, playing peekaboo with the colorful scarves and taking turns sharing the bells, with each child having the opportunity to have a bell solo. Thank you all for attending your conference. We had meaningful conversations with you all. We went to Shabbat services for the second time and enjoyed singing Bim Bam and all the other Shabbat songs with Ditza and Rabbi Josh. Shabbat Shalom, Debbie, Erika and Gali Reminders: Mitzvah Day is on Sunday, November 5th. Be sure to visit the Book Fair from November 5th-10th. Tuesday, Nov 7th is an all-school pajama day.
