We have been exploring Hanukkah in room 24! Our room is decorated with a giant menorah that the children painted and helped put together. They are learning all the special symbols involved in Hanukkah. The Hanukkiah is the special menorah with 9 candles. Dreidels are the fun spinning top toys. The Shamash is the special helper candle that lights all the other candles on the hanukkiah. It is so much fun to see the children recognize and get excited seeing these symbols around school, in books and in their classroom. We are looking forward to celebrating Hanukkah with all of you on Tuesday, December 13th. Please bring the food you signed up for that morning. We will have a fun Hanukkah Breakfast together from 9-10. You can play with your children and mingle with the other parents! Reminders:
