The end of the school year is always bittersweet. It is rewarding to reflect o n the progress that our children (and parents) have made, to celebrate new friendships and also to reflect on how much our friends have grown and learned this year. The more challenging part is saying goodbye. On Monday, we will talk about summer and all the fun things the children will be doing this summer. We will also say goodbye to our toys, books, our friends, teachers and our room. We will involve the children in the goodbye process by asking them to help us clean the tables, take artwork off the wall and maybe wash some toys. It's a good idea not to talk about it too much at home as it may cause anxiety for some and we will discuss together next week.
On Wednesday, June 3rd, we will have a year-end celebration (at 11:15) and celebrate summer birthdays. We would like to keep it low key so our friends get to enjoy their time togther. We will have a closing circle, do some flannel stories and sing Shalom Chaverim. It has been an amazing year! We thank you for all your love and support. We will miss you and your children! Shabbat Shalom, Judy and Sue
