Dear Room #12 Parents,
We started our unit on Passover on Monday. Before the children started working on any Passover projects, we introduced the story to them through flannel board pieces. We will continue with the story through next Friday, our last day together before Passover and our Spring break. Your children made a desert out of brown paper, brown paint, and packaged sand. We added glue to the brown paint so the sand would stick. After the project dried, we added plastic snakes and bugs to the project, and hung it on our wall. The following day, we painted a sun to represent the very hot desert the Jewish people had to work and live in. We will also be adding some hand decorated Jewish people as this project continues on. We were also busy making Matzo covers which we hope you will display and use at your Seders this year. We would like to thank our parents for signing up and attending our Parent/Teacher conferences. It is always so nice to actually sit down and have an opportunity to connect with all of you. We did not get a visit from music teacher Brock this week due to our conferences. We will see him next Thursday, March 26th at our Seder. Our Seder will begin at 11:00 a.m. in Hershenson Hall. We respectfully request that grandparents and siblings not attend this event which is centered solely around your children in Room #12. As a reminder, all food assignments should be brought to class along with your children @ 9:00 am. Thursday the 26th. Shabbat Shalom, enjoy a wonderful weekend, Cindy & Miriam
