Dear Room #12 Parents, We hope you and your children have been able to make up the 1 hour we all lost last weekend! We completed our unit on Purim, and plan to start our unit on Passover next week. Therefore, this week, we set-up a “grocery store” center in our housekeeping corner complete with baskets, cash registers, “money”, and of course lots of items for everyone to purchase. It turned into a very successful center that we will bring back again very soon. We even had children pushing babies in our strollers while still purchasing lots of food. So cute! On Tuesday, we made a visit to Baron Field. There, your children worked out their large motor skills while riding our tricycles. They also use the field in order to run back and forth from side to side. There was definitely lots of exercise going on! On Wednesday we had a successful shelter in place drill. This is the drill where once we hear the signal, we all go into the bathroom and lock the doors. Your children did a great job being quiet and waiting for the all clear signal. Please ask them about their experience during the drill. Some dates to remember: Passover Seder: Thursday, March 26 @11:00am in Hershenson Hall. Last Day of School before Spring Break: Friday, March 27. Have a wonderful, very warm weekend. Shabbat Shalom to everyone.
