Dear Parents,
Welcome back, it's great to have everyone all together again! We hope you all had a restful Spring Break, the children look like they have grown an inch overnight and are ready to get back into the groove. Spring Enrichments have begun and the children are very excited with their new classes. We spent our mornings discussing the different vacations the children went on, special times spent with their friends, and many activities that they were so eager to talk about. The children have spent the week exploring with different art mediums, using a variety of painting tools on the easel. Your little Picassos are hard at work, keep your eyes open for some beautiful masterpieces. By doing this, the children further develop their imagination, spark their creativity, and strengthen their hand-eye coordination. As they spend a good part of the morning in the writing center, the children can be seen drawing pictures, tracing and writing letters, and practicing writing their name. While doing this, the children are gaining more control of the small muscles in their hands, developing their pincer grip, and becoming more familiar with the letters in the alphabet. They are able to recognize most of the letters and are familiarizing themselves with rhyming and beginning sounds. The children were excited to see Teacher Andrew and enjoyed a very interactive music experience. They learned new songs, explored the parachute and danced around the room. Next Tuesday, we will be celebrating Yom Ha' atzmaut, Israel's birthday. The children will make an Israeli flag, parade around the school, and have some delightful treats to eat. Shabbat was enjoyed by all. We would like to thank the Lando family for joining us and making the day more memorable! The children were happy to go to the Temple after being away for some time. We look forward to what's ahead and to spending quality time with the children.
