What a busy week we’ve had in Room 9! We have talked about two important holidays, Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday and Tu B’shvat! The children learned about Martin Luther King Jr. and what an important and influential man he was. We talked about what it means to be kind and how we can make the world a better place. They were able to talk about how they can make the world a better place. They all agreed that being nice to each other, sharing and treating people nicely was very important.
We also read all about trees, their importance to our world and how much they give us. Each child planted their own lima beans in baggies with cotton balls that are soaked with water. We are observing how they change every day, and talking about how they are changing and why they are changing. We cannot wait to come back from the weekend to see the difference in all our beans. We look forward to celebrating Tu B’shvat, the birthday of the trees with a seder on Monday, January 25th with all of Pre-K! Shabbat Shalom, Rachel and Linda REMINDERS: -Share day is Friday!
