We hope you all had an amazing Mother’s Day and enjoyed the beautiful gifts your kids made for you! They put a lot of time and effort into them and really enjoyed making something special for each of you. We were lucky to get to prolong our celebration of Mother’s Day! All week we had invited mothers and grandmothers into our room to sit and play and learn along with your child. You were able to make a special picture frame together and a bracelet too! It was so nice seeing each and every one of you work with your child to make something memorable. Some of you got to sit in with us and do our jobs on the rug or even sit with us while we worked on our Learning Map. Our Learning Map is a part of the USC curriculum. We can take many paths while learning. The kids really grasp and understand the idea and love sitting and sharing their responses. This week we talked about the idea of Mothers and Grandmothers. We talked about different names for mothers and grandmothers, and we were able to describe in detail who they are and what they do for us. We were able to sit again and talk about why and how important they are to each and every one of us! Thanks to everyone who was able to stop by and enjoy some time together with your child in class.
